Number of syringes and units of Tox will depend on patient. Recommend 3+ syringes of dermal filler and 40-50 units of Tox as a baseline.

Dissolving filler is simple, fast, and almost instant.

Hylenex aka hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid. Injecting hyaluronidase to the area of unwanted filler will cause mild discomfort, swelling, and possible bruising. These effects usually subside within 24-48 hours. A skin patch test is performed on a small area, such as your forearm prior to injecting it to the facial area--this is to ensure you do not have a Hylenex allergy, which is extremely rare.

The final result can take up to 2 weeks, so it is advised to wait at least 2 weeks prior to reinjecting filler to the area that was dissolved. Subsequent dissolving sessions may be needed depending on the type of filler that needs dissolving and the amount previously injected.

If you are concerned about filler causing a blood vessel occlusion, please contact your injector immediately. Vascular occlusions are considered an emergency and requires prompt treatment.

Avoid touching the treated area for 3-4 hours following the injection. After that, light make-up can be applied and the area can be gently washed with soap and water.

Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (i.e., sunbathing or tanning bed) or extreme cold.

If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores.

If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site. You may take Tylenol for discomfort.

Please avoid alcohol and exercise for 12 hours following the injection and be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

You may gently apply the ice pack provided to you to the treated area for 10 minutes an hour for the first 3 hours following the injection. Apply lightly, do not use too much pressure.
